Our 2019 cohort of fellows arrived last Monday and have been in the process of settling in during the last few days.
Altogether 23 fellows from 11 countries will participate in the six months training programme winter 2019-20; 6 from Asia, 15 from Africa and 2 from the Caribbean.
The gender balance is relatively good: 12 women and 11 men.
This year for the first time all four lines of specialisation are on offer for the fellows; 6 are registered for the Fisheries Policy and Management line, 7 for the Quality Management of Fish Handling line; 6 for the Sustainable Aquaculture line; and 4 for the Stock Assessment and Fishing Technology line.
The FTP staff welcomes the fellows and is looking forward to working with them.
