Poor handling which leads to post-harvest losses in economic and nutritional value of fish is a pressing issue in many less developed countries. In cooperation with MATÍS, food and biotechnology research laboratories in Iceland (matis.is) and local partners, the UNU-FTP develop and run short courses on improved fish handling and processing in UNU-FTP partner countries.
