United Nations University - Fisheries Training Programme is an institutional capacity building programme. Direct applications from individuals are not accepted. UNU-FTP works with institutions and
organizations and provides an in-service training for fisheries professionals. The selection of participants is done through close cooperation with those establishments. In general UNU-FTP invites
professionals to apply for the UNU Fellowship after an on-site interview and consultation with his/her fisheries establishment.

- Be employed by a recognized fisheries establishment
- Hold at least the first university degree
- Have at least 2 years of experience related to the chosen line of specialization
- Have good command of English
- Have good support from his/her employer
- Be a committed fisheries professional
