On September 14 the 12th session of the UNU-FTP commenced. This year 19 fellows from 15 countries will take part in the training on 4 lines of specialization: Fisheries Policy and Planning, Stock
Assessment, Quality Management of Fish Handling and Processing, and Sustainable Aquaculture. The first part of the UNU-FTP is a 5 weeks introduction to fisheries. During that time the fellows will
spend 2 weeks in northern Iceland exploring the fishing industry and attending lectures on company management at the University of Akureyri.
